What does PepLook?

PepLook predicts 3D structure of peptides from sequences

What can you expect from PepLook?

As for proteins the function of peptides is related to their 3D structures. The latters are encoded by primary sequences.

PepLook is an in silico algorithm to calculate 3D structures from linear sequences of 5 to 30 amino acids. The 3D structure can be calculated in four different conditions of media, water, hydrophobic solvent, membrane interfaces and membranes.

Data provided by a PepLook analysis enables to analyze peptide structure and stability. The procedure calculates a large number of structures iteratively and selects the best model (namely the Prime) and up to 99 models of low energy. The Prime and the 99 next models are used to characterize the spontaneous polymorphism of the peptide.

 

Biosiris_RA provides two kinds of services

1) If you need to know the structure of a peptide in water or in an hydrophobic solvent, you can ask for an automatic request. To do so, go to the Order pointer and ask for a quotation by filling up all details. We shall send you the quotation and upon receipt of your agreement shall proceed to calculations. We shall send you the Prime and 99 PDB models and a complete detailed report of the peptide stability.

 

2) If you need calculations of a peptide in more specific conditions, i.e. in a membrane or at an hydrophobicity interface, or if you need to calculate a peptide with D or non-natural amino acid(s). Please send us an e-mail explaining your specific demand. We shall answer with a specific proposal.
